Description: Our main event of the year, the Math Invitational is typically held in April at the University of Memphis.
Awards: Medals are awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd highest scoring individuals in each grade (6th, 7th, 8th).
Trophies are awarded to the top 3 overall teams, the top 6 highest scoring individuals, and the winning Oral Proof pair.
The highest scoring individual overall also will receive a special book prize.
All participants receive certificates.

Description: Students are invited to write a short essay to submit before the Invitational. Awards will be mailed to competitors.
The 2020 Essay Contest Topics are as follows:
- Describe a STEM-related problem you've solved or a problem you'd like to solve, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.
- Imagine yourself as a future leader in a STEM field of your choice. What do you hope to explore and why?
Students only need to choose one of the given topics to write about for their short essay. The essay should be typed in 12-pt. legible font, double-spaced, and emailed to [email protected]. There is no word limit, but essays tend to be 1-2 pages long.
Awards: Recognition will be given to1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners, alongside a select number of Honorable Mentions.
